McPherson, Kansas – McPherson College will honor Carol Swenson, the college's first full-time sports information director starting in 2000, with admission to the Athletic Hall of Fame this weekend. "I was completely surprised," Swenson said. "I know there's a lot of really deserving people." For those who worked with Swenson, however, he was a natural selection. "What Carol has done for not only the college but for the conference in terms of Sports Information is just incredible," said current McPherson College Athletic Communications Director Aric Cherry. "Carol is Mr. Sports Information."
Sumter, South Carolina – McPherson College's men's tennis players that qualified for the 2014 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships returned Sunday. The doubles pair of Rafael Bulnes and Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez ended the tournament in fourth while Bulnes placed sixth in the singles tournament.
