Corey Smith of Ottawa University is the KCAC men's basketball player of the week. The 6-6 Junior Forward from Burlington, Kansas scored 36 and grabbed 22 rebounds in two KCAC games this week as the Braves improve their conference record to 5-5. During the two-game stretch Smith averaged 18 PPG and 11 RBP while shooting 0.500 (14-28) from the field and 1.000 (7-7) from the line.
Men's Indoor Track Athlete of The Week
Colton McNinch
Southwestern College

McNinch finished second in the 5,000 M run at the Missouri Southern Indoor Meet on Saturday, Jan. 21. His time of 15:02.17 meets the "A" qualifying standard for the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships. It was also Colton's personal best for 5,000 M and was just 4 seconds of the Southwestern school record.
Women's Indoor Track Athlete of The Week
Christine Sheppard
Southwestern College
SO, from Wichita, KS
Sheppard established two career best performances in the 60m dash and the 200m dash. In her 60m dash, Christine ran 8.10 and finished 7th overall out of 26 competitors. In the 200m, Christine broke her previous career-best by nearly a full second, racing to a 27.18 performance, which was good for 9th place out of 38 competitors.

Toney highlighted McPherson's finishers at the Highland Open with a second place finish that included a NAIA 'B' Standard jump of 2.00m. The performance qualifies Toney for nationals for the second consecutive year. He earned All-American honors a year ago.
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of The Week

Bostwick threw 35' 4.5" in the shot, which was good for 9th place out of 30 competitors. In the 20# weight throw, Mandy recorded a throw of 38' 2.25 ", which placed her 12th overall out of 18 throwers.
