WICHITA, KS - With the NAIA National preseason baseball poll up for release next week, the KCAC released their preseason poll as voted on by member coaches this week.

The Sterling College baseball "Warriors" are tabbed in the coaches preseason poll as Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) preseason favorites to win the conference race.

Sterling was the third-place 2009 spring regular-season finisher and KCAC Post-conference Tournament runner-up to Kansas Wesleyan University.

University of Saint Mary, last spring's '09 regular-season runner-up, was tabbed second favorite to take the top spot.

KWU, two-time champion (2008 and 2009) and the conference's representative to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics 2009 national opening round, dropped in the 2010 expectations after losing key seniors as well as going through a coaching change.

The NAIA national poll will be released November 17.
