KANSAS CITY, MO - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the pairings for the 2009 Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round. There will be 30 teams participating at 15 different sites on Nov. 21. The winners of the National Championship Opening Round games, in addition to host school Fresno Pacific (Calif.), will advance to the National Championship final site Nov. 30 - Dec. 5 in Fresno, Calif. Kansas Wesleyan University is the representative for the KCAC in the National Tournament.
Kansas Wesleyan University will travel to Bethel University in Tennessee. The match will be on November 21st. The winner advances to the National Tournament final site in Fresno, Calif.
Kansas Wesleyan University is the KCAC Champion having defeated Friends University in the KCAC Conference Tournament Final this past Saturday 4-0.
Bethel University received an at large bid after being defeated by Martin Methodist College in the TranSouth Tournament. Before losing in the final, Bethel University was the number one ranked team in the NAIA.
