WICHITA, KS - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 254 women's cross country runners have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athletes. Of those 254, 12 are from KCAC schools.
    
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
   
The following athletes represented the KCAC on the list:

  2. Monica Schmidt - Bethel College - Jr.
  3. Taylor Doll - Friends University - Jr.
  4. Kelli Woodward - Friends University - Sr.
  5. Hillary Bruce - Ottawa University - Sr.
  6. Emily McAfoos - Ottawa University - Sr.
  7. Amy Pierson - Southwestern College - Jr.
  8. Kelli Larosh - Sterling College - Sr.
  9. Jessica Stuart - Sterling College - Jr.
  10. Leah Kopper - Tabor College - Sr.
  11. Elissa Richert - Tabor College - Jr.
  12. Jera Teselle - Tabor College - Sr.
