MCPHERSON, KS - Tyler Tank has added to his list of outstanding postseason honors once again, claiming a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's NAIA All-Plains Region Team. Tank was one of three KCAC players named to the team.

"People and organizations outside of our immediate soccer family at McPherson College continue to recognize the importance Tyler Tank has to this program," said McPherson head coach Doug Quint. "He is a vital piece to our success. Tyler had an outstanding season individually."

Earlier this fall, the Austin, Texas native was selected as the Bulldogs lone representative to the NAIA All-American list along with being tabbed as the KCAC Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-KCAC First Team as a defender.

Tank, a 6-5 198-pound sophomore, anchored a back line that allowed a school record nine goals and a McPherson College record 10 shutouts. The 2009 KCAC Defensive Player of the Year, Tank started 16 matches.

The Bulldogs finished 2009 with a 15-2 overall mark and 9-0 record in KCAC play. McPherson's seasoned ended when they were defeated in the semifinals of the KCAC tournament by Friends University, 2-1.

Tyler is the son of Darrell and Teresa Tank of Austin, Texas. He is majoring in accounting and finance at McPherson College.
