
"I am very pleased with the ladies receiving the team academic award again for the 2009 year," said McPherson head coach Robert Talley. "This is a great group of ladies who continue to strive for success both on the field and in the classroom. This award shows just how determined the women's soccer program is to develop not only athletes, but more importantly quality students."
The NSCAA, based in Kansas City, Kan., is the largest coaches' organization in the United State. The organization, founded in 1941, consists of approximately 30,000 members who coach at all levels of the sport.
The Bulldogs finished the season 10-5-3 overall and 6-1-2 in KCAC action. McPherson's season came in the semifinals of the KCAC Conference Tournament, as the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes defeated the Bulldogs 2-0.
