WICHITA, KS - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) will send two teams to compete at the 2010 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship at Keeter Gymnasium in Point Lookout, Missouri from March 10-16. The highest ranked KCAC team in the tournament in regular season and tournament champion Friends University. Receiving the second KCAC automatic bid to the tournament is regular season runner-up McPherson College.
 
Friends University from the KCAC is making its fourth appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. The Falcons enter the tournament coming off of KCAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Friends University finished the KCAC Regular Season with a record of 17-1, earning the top spot in the KCAC Tournament. In the Quarter-Final Round of the KCAC Tournament, Friends defeated Bethel College 79-62 to advance to the Final Four. A Semi-Final Round victory against Southwestern College propelled the Friends into the KCAC Championship where the Falcons defeated Bethany College 82-75 to claim the KCAC Tournament Championship. The Falcons current record is 25-6. Friends University is lead by KCAC Player of the Year Romar Jones and KCAC All-Conference First Team Selection Chris Jackson. In the First Round of the NAIA National Tournament, Friends University will face Bethel (Ind.) on Wednesday, March 10 at 1:45 p.m.

McPherson College has earned its first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament this season. The Bulldogs are in the tournament thanks to a strong showing in the KCAC Regular Season. McPherson finished the KCAC Regular Season with a record of 13-5 and earned the second seed in the KCAC Tournament. McPherson's KCAC Tournament run was cut short in the Quarter-Final Round when they were defeated by the University of Saint Mary. When Friends University won the KCAC Tournament, the second KCAC automatic bid to the national tournament defaulted to the KCAC Regular Season Runner-up McPherson College. The Bulldogs will enter the national tournament with a current record of 20-8. McPherson is lead by their three KCAC All-Conference First Team Selections in Marlon Dominique, Antowine Lamb, and Mike Reece. In the First Round of the NAIA National Tournament, McPherson will face seventh seed Dakota Wesleyan from South Dakota on Wednesday, March 10 at 9:45 p.m.

The 19th Annual NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament features 32 teams playing in a single elimination tournament.
