WICHITA, KS - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced this week's Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week. The KCAC Track Athlete of the Week is Chris Morr from Sterling College. The KCAC Field Athlete of the Week is Sam Blecha from Ottawa University.
Chris Morr is a senior runner for Sterling College from Holton, Kansas. This week in the ACCK Championships held at Sterling College he was a triple crown winner as he finished first in all his events, and he helped lead his team to a second-place finish overall. He won the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.69. In the 4x100 Relay his team placed first with a time of 42.95. In the Long Jump he placed first with a mark of 6.79m.
Sam Blecha is a sophomore thrower for Ottawa University from Ottawa, Kansas. This week in the second annual Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State University, against a largely NCAA II field, Blecha placed sixth in the Shotput with a throw of 46-5, a personal best.
