WICHITA, KS - Friends University Athletic Director Joe Zimmerman announces the hiring of RaeAnne Boothe as the new Falcon women's basketball coach.
 
"I am ecstatic about the opportunity to be part of such a great university" said Coach Boothe. "Everyone at Friends has been extremely welcoming and shares my commitment in striving for excellence in the classroom, in athletics and in the community."
 
Prior to accepting the position at Friends University, Boothe spent six seasons as an assistant coach. She began her coaching career in 2004 at NAIA Division II Warner University in Florida. In 2006, Boothe moved to Georgia to be an assistant coach at Brenau University for four years.
 
"We are excited at what we feel Coach Boothe will bring to women's basketball here at Friends University. Her people and basketball skills are top notch. I believe she will be very successful as an administrator of the program," said Athletic Director, Joe Zimmerman.   
 
Boothe a native of Pensacola, Fl., holds a degree in Education from Brenau University and is currently working on a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership.
