WICHITA, KS - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced this week's Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week. The KCAC Track Athlete of the Week is Clarence Anderson from Ottawa University. The KCAC Field Athlete of the Week is Mitchell Krier from McPherson College.
 
Clarence AndersonClarence Anderson is a sophomore runner for Ottawa University from Wichita, Kansas. Last Saturday in the 2010 Bethel Invitational, he won the 100 M with a time of 10.74, breaking the school record (10.84) that had been set in 1990. He also won the 200 M with a time of 21.94. Both times allow him to run in the 100M and the 200M at the 2010 NAIA Track and Field National Championships; he already has qualified to run the 400M nationally.
 

Mitchell Krier is a junior vaulter for McPherson College from Sterling, Colorado. This past week in the Bethel 2010 Invitational he won the men's Pole Vault with a mark of 4.85m, in just his second competition of the outdoor season. With this he set a season best and school record, with the NAIA national qualifying "A" standard vault. (His previous season best was at a height of 4.72m (14'-0").
