GARDEN CITY, KS - Southwestern College is the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference 2010 golf champion. The KCAC Coach of the Year is Brad Sexson of Southwestern College.

The Southwestern golf team won the KCAC Conference golf championship, based on four tournaments including the KCAC Conference golf championship tournament held at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City, April 26 and 27. Southwestern will advance to NAIA National Championships. Southwestern also won that final KCAC golf championship tournament in Garden City.

Southwestern's Raleigh Hughes, sophomore from Keller, Texas, was the overall individual top player from four KCAC tournaments and would be eligible as an individual to compete in the NAIA national tournament - but he already will go to nationals with his Southwestern College team.

The top ten individual players from the KCAC four designated tournaments, including the Conference Tournament, are named the KCAC 2010 All-Conference golfers.
They are:

Zach Frey, Bethel College, 188 Total points.

Jared Paul, Southwestern College, 179 Total points.

Jared Bowser, Sterling College, 177 Total points.

The conference golf championship is determined by points from four designated tournaments - one in the fall (this season, the fall Southwestern tournament), and two spring tournaments (Bethany tournament March 8-9, and Bethel tournament March 27-28), and then with triple individual and team points from the KCAC Tournament April 26-27.
