KANSAS CITY, MO - The NAIA has announced that 11 women's softball players from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference have been recognized as 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Theses student-athletes represent Bethany College, Friends University, Ottawa University, and Sterling College.  Nationally, there were 275 softball student-athletes who received this honor.

Jessica Johnson, Junior from Friends University
Brandi Larson, Senior from Friends University
Amy Martinez, Senior from Friends University

Olivia See, Senior from Friends University
Jessica Thelen, Junior from Bethany College
Lindsay Tuter, Junior fromOttawa University
Emily Zimmerman, Senior fromBethany College
 
In order to be a Scholar-Athlete, a student must be nominated by their institution's head coach, must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
