Wichita, Kan. - Perennial contender Southwestern College was chosen by a vote of the Men's Cross Country coaches to be the preseason favorite for the 2010 crown. The Moundbuilders received seven of nine available first place votes and a grand total of 63 points to cinch the lead spot.
Friends University knotted one first place vote and 56 total points to come in the second spot over McPherson College (47 points) and Kansas Wesleyan University (45 points and one first place vote).
Southwestern is the defending 2009 KCAC Team Champion in Men's Cross Country and represented the conference at the NAIA National Championships in Oregon last fall.
