Wichita, Kan. - Defending KCAC Women's Cross Country Champion Kansas Wesleyan University notched preseason honors narrowly over Friends University and Southwestern College.
The Coyotes claimed six first place votes and a leading total of 61 points over the Falcons who netted two first place votes and 58 total points in the KCAC Women's Cross Country Coaches' preseason poll. The Moundbuilders also received first place recognition with one vote and 52 total points.
Kansas Wesleyan won the team title last fall in Wichita at the Lake Afton course, then went on to compete at the NAIA National Championships in Oregon - representing the KCAC.
