Wichita, Kan. – (Bracket) – KCAC postseason tournament semifinals will take place on Friday, November 9 at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Ottawa University, the top seed advancing from the quarterfinals, will host the tournament semifinals and finals. The championship final will be played at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10.
The KCAC Tournament #4 seed Tabor College (18-9, 12-6), travels to Ottawa to take on the tournament #1 seed Ottawa University (28-5, 18-0).
Tabor defeated #5 seed Sterling College in the semifinals in a five set match. The Bluejays came into the tournament winning seven straight games. Tabor's last loss came at the hands of Ottawa (3-1) on October 13.
Ottawa defeated #8 seed University of Saint Mary, 3-0, to host the semifinal and final matches. Ottawa entered the tournament undefeated in conference play and won their last 16 matches, last falling to MidAmerican Nazarene (Kan.) on September 27. The Braves also defeated the Bluejays on September 22, 3-0.
#3 seed Friends University (21-14, 14-4) travels to Ottawa to take on the #2 seed Kansas Wesleyan University (24-13, 14-4).
Kansas Wesleyan hosted and defeated #7 seed Bethel College in the quarterfinals, 3-0. Heading into the tournament the Coyotes won eight of their last 10 conference games – losing their final match in five sets to Ottawa.
Friends defeated #6 seed McPherson College, 3-0, in the quarterfinal round. The Falcons came into the tournament winning five straight games. The last Falcon loss came at the hands of Ottawa (3-0) on October 19.
Friends defeated Kansas Wesleyan, 3-2, on September 5. Most recently, the Coyotes defeated the Falcons, 3-0, on October 8. Both teams won on their home courts.
