Wichita, Kan. - Junior Janelle Rust of Tabor College is named KCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.  The 5-11, Forward from Elbing, Kansas was key in the Bluejay victories over conference opponents Ottawa University and #21 Southwestern College.

   

Rust scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for her third double double of the season as Tabor defeated Ottawa, 56-32, on January 3rd. On the 5th, Rust scored a season high of 25 points and helped Tabor deliver #21 Southwestern College their first conference loss of the season. The Bluejays now sit a top of the KCAC standings. 

 

Rust finished the week with a 59% field goal percentage (16-27), 45 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Rust leads the KCAC scoring with 264 points  (16.5 per game) and Field Goal Percentage at 49.5%.  She is second in conference with 119 rebounds (7.44 per game).
