
Wichita, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan University's Vanessa Kresin is named KCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts January 21 - 27. The 5-9, Sophomore Forward from Glen Elder, Kansas led the Coyotes in their two conference wins this week.
Kresin scored 15 points and recorded eight rebounds as Kansas Wesleyan defeated Southwestern, 70-64, in Salina on January 23rd. On the 26th, Kresin scored 12 points and pulled in another eight rebounds in a 72-50 victory over Saint Mary.
Kresin finished the week with a 46.2% Field Goal Percentage (12-26), 27 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and averaged over 34 minutes per game. Kresin leads the KCAC in steals with 68 (3.09 per game) and she is seventh in scoring at 263 points (11.96 per game).
