Wichita, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan University Junior, Canon Fields, is named KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts January 21 - 27.  The 6-0, Guard from Topeka, Kansas averaged 24.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 6 assists over two conference games this week.


Fields scored 26 points in an 88-79 home victory over Southwestern on January 23rd. Fields grabbed 10 rebounds in the win, securing his sixth double double this season.


January 26th, Fields tallied 23 points, 9 rebounds, and seven assists for Kansas Wesleyan's, in a, 83-79, loss against #23 University of Saint Mary. The game against USM marks the 18th time Fields has scored 20+ points this season (fifth game in a row).


Fields finished the week with 49 points, 19 rebounds, and 12 assists.  Fields leads the KCAC in scoring with 515 points  (23.4 per game), Assists (116) and Steals (52).  He is fifth in conference with 180 rebounds (8.18 per game).
