
Wichita, Kan. – Arryana Barton of McPherson College has been selected KCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week following an NAIA National Championships qualifying jump. Cassie Hollenback of Southwestern College repeats as KCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
Barton, a Sophomore from Sacramento, California finished first of six competitors in the Triple Jump at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Quad Meet. Barton's jump of 11.72m is a McPherson College record and puts her second in the NAIA and qualifies her under the "A" standard for the 2013 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Barton finished third of 11 in the shot put with a throw of 12.3m. She finished fifth of eight competitors with a long jump of 4.91m.

Hollenback, a Freshman from Douglass, Kansas repeats as Track Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Missouri Southern State University Lion Invitation. Hollenback finished 4th of 30 runners the second 800m run of her young college career. Her time of 2:19.45 places her 13th in the NAIA, 0.45 seconds short of NAIA's "A" qualifying mark (Automatic). Hollenback ran a 61.0 split on Southwestern's 4x400m relay. The relay finished in 6th place with a time of 4:10.7.
