
Wichita, Kan. – Connor Drendel of Southwestern College is named KCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Artrail Skipper of Southwestern College has been selected KCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Drendel, a Senior from Haviland, Kansas earns as Track Athlete of the Week after a 3:04.42 1200m as apart of Southwestern's Distance Medley Relay at the 2013 Nebraska Tune-up. The Moundbuilders finished second in the DMR with a time of 10:10.22. A time that broke the school record by nearly five seconds and met the NAIA "A" Qualifying Standard. Drendel finished 6th in the 1000m with a NAIA "B" Qualifying time of 2:33.17.

Skipper, a Sophomore from St. Martinville, Louisiana finished third in the Triple Jump at the 2013 Kansas State Open. Skipper's mark of 14.05m in the Triple Jump surpasses the NAIA "B" Qualifying Standard. Toney's jump of 6.33m in the Long Jump is a McPherson College record.
