
Wichita, Kan.- The All-KCAC Champion of Character Award recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated the five core Champion of Character values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership in their approach to life, the classroom, and the field of play.
Each season, coaches are asked to nominate one student-athlete from their team who best exemplifies the core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program.
In the sport of Women's Basketball, the KCAC is pleased to announce the following 10 women who have been selected by their head coaches to receive this important award.

Tanya Garner: Bethany College

Katie Regier: Bethel College

Jordan Wiltse: Friends University

Vanessa Kresin: Kansas Wesleyan University

Kaylee Cramer: McPherson College

Lauren Buckles: Ottawa University

Hayley Fort: Southwestern College

The criteria for being selected an all Kansas Collegiate Champion of Character student-athlete are as follows:
1: Identified as a full-time student in good standing
2: Currently participating in a varsity intercollegiate program
3: One full academic year of full-time status and participation in the varsity intercollegiate sport program
4: Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
5: Students may be nominated and receive the Champion of Character Award up to three times during their career, provided the above criteria are met.
About All-KCAC Champions of Character Awards Program
The All-KCAC Champion of Character Award recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated the five core Champion of Character values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership in their approach to life, the classroom, and the field of play. The KCAC recognizes one student-athlete on every team throughout 19 conference-sponsored sports. Additionally, the Champion of Character Student-Athlete of the Year will be presented to one male student-athlete and one female student-athlete during the KCAC Sport Management Conference. This year's honors will be awarded August 6, 2013 at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas.
