Wichita Kan. - Lauren Szoboscan (Senior, Rancho Cordova, Calif.) of Kansas Wesleyan University is the KCAC Softball Player of the Week. Stephanie Minder (Sophomore, Loami, Ill.) of Bethany College has been named the KCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Szoboscan and Minder were selected KCAC Astroturf Players of the Week from a pool of nominees by vote of conference Sports Information Directors for their performances during the week of April 21 - 27.
Szoboscan had a strong week for Kansas Wesleyan, helping the Coyotes win the regular season conference title and secure the #1 seed in the upcoming KCAC Softball Tournament. She finished the week going three-for-five with five RBIs, one run scored, one walk and one homerun.
Minder threw a complete game shutout against conference foe Ottawa University on Tuesday, April 22. Minder did not give up a run and allowed only four hits with one walk on the day, as well as six strikeouts in seven innings of play.
