KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The ninth 2007 NAIA weekly football awards were handed out and these student-athletes were honored: Jordan Highley of Friends (Kan.) was named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week

Highley, a 6-1, 250 lbs., junior defensive end from Fort Scott, Kan., posted eight tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks in the 18-13 win over then-No. 10 Bethel (Kan.) last Saturday. He also had two forced fumbles and blocked a punt to knock Bethel off ther dundefeated ranks.
