LINDSBORG , KS -- The 2008 All-Conference Women's Basketball Teams of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference have been selected by the ten women's head coaches.Coach-of-the-year is Lonnie Kruse, head coach of the Sterling College Lady Warriors, the regular-season KCAC champions. The "Player-of-the-year" is Ashley Kraft of Sterling College . The KCAC "Newcomer-of-the-year" is Liz Barton of Friends University , and the KCAC "Freshman-of-the-year" is Amanda Hiebert of Bethel College .

Sterling College won the KCAC championship with a regular-season conference record of 17-1 KCAC, and 20-7 overall (prior to post-season competition). The team which wins the KCAC fifteenth annual KCAC post-season women's tournament (Feb. 25 – March 3) will be the KCAC affiliated conference primary representative team to the NAIA Division II national championship tournament March 12-18 at Sioux City, Iowa (Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena). A second team from the conference will receive an automatic berth to the NAIA national championship tournament — and that team will be the highest seeded team not winning the KCAC Tournament regardless of finish in the tournament.
