SALINA, KS - Previews of the 2008 football season and head coach statements, along with pre-season polls, will be highlights for the annual Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Media Day Luncheon on Friday, August 8, 11 a.m., at the Salina Country Club.

The ten KCAC football head coaches are to be featured speakers.  The emcee will be Dr. Scott Crawford, KCAC commissioner, now in his second season.

Many members of the state's working press and electronic media, along with football assistant coaches, support personnel, and sports information directors from the Kansas institutions, will be in attendance.

The KCAC conference 2008 football Media Day will include:

* Brief "SEASON OUTLOOK" speeches by the ten football head-coaches, with behind-the-scenes revelations and opportunities for questions-and-answers. 

* A time for members of the News Media to obtain individual interviews and/or photo-opportunities, as each head coach will be available.

*  A literature "take-home table" for members of the Media, complete with materials brought by the ten institutions plus several Conference items including a KCAC 2008 football composite schedule.
