WICHITA, KS - Aric Cherry of Southwestern College and Max Brown of Ottawa University have been selected as KCAC Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.  
 
KCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week:
Aric Cherry, SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE (KS), Senior, from Osawkie, KS.
 
In the week at the Kansas University Relays, he won the Unseeded 800M Run with a time of 1:53.98 which is a "B" qualifying time for the NAIA National Outdoor track & Field Championships; he missed the "A" qualifying time by 8/100 of a second. Cherry also anchored the Southwestern 4x880 yard Relay to a second-place finish with a time of 7:44.63 which was over 5 seconds under the "A" NAIA national qualifying standard.

   

 
KCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week:
Max Brown
 
Max Brown, OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (KS), Freshman, from Winnebago, MO.
 
In the week at the Bo Boucek Classic on Saturday, he finished third in the Shot Put with a throw of 47-02.50, which is his personal best and his best placing of the season.
