WICHITA, KS - Carrington Carum of Southwestern College and Alex Hutchins of Southwestern College have been recognized as KCAC Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

KCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week:

Carrington Carum, SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE (KS), Freshman from Valley Center, KS.

In the week at the Southwestern Relays, he won the 3,000 M Steeplechase with a time of 9:31:42 which meets the "B" qualifying standard for the NAIA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and which was just 2:42 seconds off the "A" qualifying standard.

KCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week:

Alex Hutchins, SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE (KS), Junior from Winfield, KS.

In the week at the Southwestern College Relays, he won the Javelin event with a throw of 176-8, and he finished second in the Hammer with a throw of 141-3. He also placed sixth in the Discus with a mark of 131-5.
