This year the featured highlights will include media insights from head coaches, personalized previews of the 2009 football season, questions and answer sessions, and opportunites for one-on-one interviews.
The media members in attendance will also participate in a preseason poll. The head coaches preseason poll will also be released durign the media day.
As usual, the ten KCAC football head coaches will be the featured speakers.
This year's emcee will be Carol Swenson, former Sports Information Director at McPherson College.
In attendance will be many members of the regional and state's working press and electronic news media, along with football assistant coaches, institutional sports information directors, and support personnel from the Kansas institutions.
The KCAC 2009 Football Media Day will include for all registered members of the media:
- A meal at the Country Club compliments of the KCAC Conference and member-institutions.
- "SEASON OUTLOOK" brief speeches by the ten football head-coaches, with behind-the-scenes revelations and opportunities for questions-and-answers.
- Official fall pre-season K.C.A.C. polls - Head Coaches Poll, - Media Poll.
- A Time for members of the News Media to obtain individual interviews and/or photo-opportunities, as each head coach will be available.
- A literature "take-home table" for members of the Media, complete with materials brought by the ten institutions plus several Conference items including a KCAC 2009 football composite schedule.
