Athletic trainers collaborate with physicians to prevent, diagnose, and provide emergency medical care during sports. An athletic trainer certification teaches students everything they need to know to work directly with clients upon completing the graduation requirements. A physical therapist and occupational therapy assistant also treat patients who have been injured and require rehabilitation, and often work in hospitals, clinics and private offices. All three of these careers require strong interpersonal skills and a desire to help patients.
