Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference are teaming up with Smoky Hills Public Television (SHPTV) and the Scoreboard Show to provide Kansas basketball fans with a Game of the Week.  SHPTV's broadcast of the game will be featured on the Scoreboard Show's website every Saturday until the end of the regular season.

The KCAC partnered with SHPTV to provide 2011 – 2012 broadcast coverage of the KCAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships from Hartman Arena. SHPTV's coverage of the game was available live to the entire state of Kansas and parts of Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

On February 25, 2013, SHPTV will once again provide live televison coverage of Championship Monday from Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan. with the Men's game at 6:00 p.m. and the Women's game at 8:00 p.m.

Michael Quade, CEO of Smoky Hills Public Television, "We are excited to continue our partnership with the KCAC by building on the momentum of the football season's Game of the Week and into basketball season. It is a perfect fit as we lead up to the live broadcast of Championship Monday in early 2013."

Partnering to broadcast Men's and Women's Basketball Games of the Week follows a successful KCAC football Game of the Week campaign. SHPTV aired 12 KCAC football games from September 8 to November 10.

"We are pleased to continue to grow our relationship with Smoky Hills Public Television and make more people aware of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference through these type of partnerships," stated Dr. Scott Crawford, Commissioner for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

He added, "This additonal level of exposure for the conference is very important for us in reaching out to potential recruits for the athletic programs for all of our member institutions."

In June, the KCAC announced the formation of their new digital network.  The KCAC Digital Network includes live video streams, archived broadcasts, and uploaded video content. Each conference member has a dedicated page on iHigh.com in which to broadcast athletic contests. All KCAC intuitions are required to broadcast home football as well as men's and women's basketball games.

"Moving to iHigh is consistent with the KCAC's strategic plan to reach potential student athletes along with their families and friends.  It also allows us to re-connect with alumni from our member institutions.  For many, it will be a natural transition to watch student-athletes compete in the KCAC because iHigh is used in many high schools across the state of Kansas," explained Crawford.
